On his website, Christian Coriolis is giving away some free one-shot drum samples.  There are several kits available for download but the Yamaha PSS-140 and Simmons SDS-9 classic drum machine kits stand out.  Of the Simmons SDS-9, Christian says: “This is a selection of drum hits taken from the 20 factory kits in the SDS-9.  Many of the kits share the same sounds for some of the individual voices, so for the sake of variation, I’ve left out the same-sounding ones and arranged the samples in voice-categories (kickdrum, snare, tom, etc) instead of kits.” I love collecting  these classic drum machines because you never know when they’ll come in handy.
